Join Alliance Hollywood and Effortless Activism on Sunday, October 4 for their first of their Activist Salon Series.
The panel will include several professionals specializing in health promotion, organic advocacy, and agricultural sustainability and will debate both sides of the issue. Among these professionals is Greg Steltenpohl, Co-Founder of Adina for Life Inc., former CEO and founder of Odwalla & co-founder/chairman of the Interra Project. Also included are Siel from GreenLAGirl.com, Felicia Marie Tomasco, RN, E-YRT of Adina for Life and Editor-in-Chief of L.A. Yoga Magazine, Ashley Koff, R.D. and Founder of healthXchange, a corporate consulting company, Jessica Vitale, Senior Account Supervisor of Wellness Campaigns at Zeno Public Relations Group, and Mary Pate Papavailiou a chemical engineer and organizer for the Sierra Club’s True Cost of Food Campaign. The panel will be filmed and podcasted. Come join the fellow activist-minded community and learn how to become a part of the growing movement.
Two Peas Catering will be presenting a plant-based, organic brunch reception with donations from Trader Joes and Full O’ Life Health Market. The brunch will begin at 11 a.m. featuring a live musical performance by Drew Broadrick, with the panel following at noon. The forum will be opened up to audience members, who can share their initiatives and questions with the experts. Following the panel, there will be a film screening of “The Future of Food” directed by Deborah Koons Garcia highlighting the compromise of human health and the environment by corporate agriculture.
