Diamond Discovery in 100 Tons of Donated Clothing!
The spotlight on refashion is set to shine on Friday, September 11, 2009 from 11am to 3pm at the Dolce Hayes Mansion (200 Edenvale Avenue, San Jose, CA 95136). Ms. Zhang is creative director of the Eco-Chic Fashion Show luncheon which will showcase "diamonds” which are articles discovered in the processing of clothing that have the highest grade of reusability. Partnered with Goodwill Silicon Valley and co-chairs Susan Lucas and Lori Fox, Ms. Zhang is presenting a collection created by emerging stars of fashion. The team sorted through a processing plant storing over 100 tons of clothing. Contributing to the collection is The Art Institute of California Sunnyvale where students, under the direction of Jinah Oh, assist in producing the show.
Eco-Chic gala luncheon benefits Goodwill Silicon Valley and its programs. Proceeds will be used to create jobs for the disadvantaged and disabled by providing vocational and occupational training.
