" The Largest FREE Environmental Event in America "
Welcome to World Beat Center’s 20th Anniversary Multi-Cultural Earth Day Celebration, held in historical Balboa Park, located in the heart of San Diego. We invite you to support the largest free environmental event in America with last year's attendance exceeding 80,000. This year World Beat Center is expanding the celebration to include the Sun drenched east side of Balboa Park from Pepper Grove to Presidents Way. Now, with five stages featuring world-class music including; Reggae, World, Gospel, Folk, Rock and Funk at an outdoor event, representing Southern California's diverse multi cultural communities. Experience transformational lectures of gifted authors on alternative living choices and instructional exhibitions by top yoga pros in the world. Attendees spend the day exploring our World Beat Ethno-Botanical Garden, Visionary Art Garden, Children’s Playshop Area, Organic Farmers Market, African Dance and Drumming workshop, Ecological Solar & Agricultural displays, and Global Merchant’s Village. Also enjoy the wide selection available at WBC,s Food Court including amazing Raw-Vegan Restaurants.
