    Earth Day is Every Day at the MEC!

    All are invited to attend this Earth Day Fundraiser & Potluck Dinner for the Mendocino Environmental Center (MEC) and our local community radio station, KMEC lp 105.1 fm. on Thursday, April 22nd at the MEC. Sponsored by the Cloud Forest Institute.

    The community pot luck dinner begins at 6pm. Please bring a dish to share and your own plates, cups and silverware. The Raging Grannies will be there to lead in a sing-a-long. While there you can become a member of the MEC and meet the MEC Board of Directors candidates.

    Also, if you pre-ordered your “Earth Day is Every Day” T-shirts for the fundraiser, they can be picked up at the MEC during the day on Earth Day, or at the potluck gathering.

    Cloud Forest Institute was formed as a 501(c)(3) scientific and educational organization in 1996. CFI works to offer students educational alternatives in international settings that address issues of environmental and social significance thru Service Learning while striving to exist sustainably with the natural environment. CFI is working in two ways: By developing institute sites in or near protected biodiversity “hot spots” and CFI networks with other organizations, institutions, and individuals whose work fits in line with the CFI mission statement.
