In partnership with ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability, Earth Day Network officially announced the Global Day of Conversation program. This grassroots initiative, to take place on April 22, 2010, will connect 500 mayors and local elected officials with constituents to discuss ways to maximize community sustainability through green jobs, technology and green energy.

Albuquerque Mayor Martin Chavez joined Earth Day Network to unveil this program and discuss the opportunity Earth Day and the Global Day of Conversation present for an environmental discussion in his New Mexico community.
