Increasing environmental awareness and encouraging civic involvement...
Mendocino College will host its annual Earth Day event on Thursday, April 22nd. Campus clubs, non-profits, local green businesses and government agencies will have interactive informational displays set up around campus to update us on their green efforts. Students will also be showcasing their environmental research with informative poster displays on such topics as global warming, soil erosion, and organic farming.
This will be an educational, stimulating and fun day for everyone involved! We hope you'll join us!!

* John Nickerson - Mendocino College faculty member and local forestry consultant.
* Dennis Slota, Joe Scriven & Becky Kress - Mendocino County Water Agency representatives.
* Anank Nunink Nunkai - from Ecuadorian Amazon, on his people and the threatened rain forest.
* Assemblyman Wesley Chesbro - North Coast California State Assembly representative.
