Sometimes progress means making nothing happen. For decades, environmental groups have worked to preserve the wilderness. Meet the nation’s most effective advocates at the Western Wilderness Conference.

From April 8th - 11th, 2010, we’ll celebrate recent successes and discuss proven strategies to strengthen environmental campaigns. Meet with like-minded activists and discover surprising new allies. Preserving wilderness affects us all. 2010 is the year to expand your environmental network.

Sponsored by the California Wilderness Coalition and the Sierra Club, the Western Wilderness Conference includes organizations from all twelve western states, including Alaska.

Nearly 50 workshops, led by the nation’s most effective advocates, teach you tools and strategies to strengthen your campaign. Whether you're a long time activist, or new to environmental advocacy, you’ll discover both tools and inspiration.

    The Western Wilderness Conference includes:

    * New allies - The environment affects us all. Learn how to reach out to youth groups, business owners, Hispanic communities and more.
    * Social Media - Galvanize and grow your members with Facebook, Twitter and more.
