Become a part of Mendocino Coast Transition Towns!

Join us July 9th at Fort Bragg Town Hall, for an overview of the Transition Towns movement and a screening of 'Coming Home: E. F. Schumacher & The Reinvention Of Local Economy.'

The event will also include a discussion about the ways we can go beyond simply talking about the changes we need to make, how we overcome barriers to taking constructive action, and how we can get underway with important community projects.

Join us in creating this transition and creating a new local, sustainable and resilient infrastructure. Examples include many more community gardens, a local currency, a coast time-bank, a local seed bank, a network of local produce farmers, a greatly enhanced public transportation network, a local self-sufficiency training school, an alternative energy utility, a peace choir, and many other innovative
    projects.

All are welcome to this free event. For additional information, contact Charles Cresson Wood at 707-937-5572, or see the website linked above.

The Transition Towns movement is an accelerated process to reinvent our economy so that it is sustainable, local, and resilient. For more information on the Transition Towns movement, see website above, and see Transition California at: http://transitioncalifornia.ning.com/

The 37-minute movie 'Coming Home: E. F. Schumacher & The Reinvention Of Local Economy' is about the British economist and author of the book “Small Is Beautiful: Economics As If People Mattered,” which critiques Western economics including fossil fuel dependency and globalization.
