    WATER WISE GARDENING WORKSHOP
At the Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden

From landscaping to vegetables, water conservation in the garden is the goal!

Master Gardener Louisa Aronow will teach this timely class on planning your garden for water conservation. Every garden includes features that can utilize rainwater and/or graywater to reduce our need to irrigate with drinking water. Drought-resistant plants for landscaping as well as water-conserving food gardens will be discussed.

Dress appropriately for coastal weather. We will walk through the Botanical Gardens briefly to see some beautiful drought resistant plants. If possible, bring a calculator and a drawing of your garden with approximate elevations and roof areas. Class cost is $10, half price for members and free to Master Gardeners!

For more info contact Master Gardener Kristina Van Wert at 707-964-4352, ext 13.

Class size may be limited, call 707-964-4352, ext 16 to reserve your space.

    Garden by the Sea...
A Rare Botanical Jewel on the Mendocino Coast

Our mission of the Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden is to conserve plants suited to the climate of the Mendocino Coast and display them for the enjoyment and education of our guests. The Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens offers everything from colorful displays to thunderous waves. The mild maritime climate makes it a garden for all seasons, attracting gardeners and nature lovers. With manicured formal gardens, a dense coastal pine forest, native flora and habitats, fern-covered canyons, camellias, rhododendrons, magnolias and conifers, heaths and heathers, and flower-filled coastal bluffs overlooking the blue ocean, the garden is a jewel on the Pacific Coast.
