Introduction Class: Sustainability, Self-Reliance, and Mindful Living

In the 1st workshop of this amazing series we will define these terms for ourselves in relation to city living and learn the core principles of sustainability and permaculture design. We will then learn how to transfer these principles into the practice of becoming an "urban earth steward" and focus on the areas of: Radical Recycling, Sustainability with Food, Water Conservation and Reverance, Energy Efficiency, and the Non-Toxic Home.

The Green Beacon Foundation is hosting this introductory class for the series BEYOND GREEN, a weekly course in March offered by Creative Green Sustainability Coaching. The class will meet every Saturday in March (3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27) at different locations around the east side of LA. The series is $120 (for 4 classes, resource lists, and email support) and the Green Beacon Foundation is offering a special price of $25 for the introduction class to be held at the Green Beacon. Creative Green supports an alternative economy and is open to trade/barter for those who cannot afford the full price. To sign up for the full series, contact Eden at creativegreen@hotmail.com

The Green Beacon Foundation (GBF) serves as a community resource for the public to have tactile experiences of "going green," such as on-going workshops, lectures, tours, etc. held on their property. They host public tours of the home and garden on the 1st Saturday of every month. The Green Beacon Foundation is located in the neighborhood of Elysian Heights near the Dodgers Stadium just NE of downtown Los Angeles. Questions?
