How we are trying to make this event "green":
In a "free market" retail environment, it can be hard for concientious consumers to connect with businesess that provide truly "green" products and services. Our primary Mission Is to make those connections by bringing consumers and local businesess together under one roof. We seek out only cutting edge retail products and Green conscious Building, energy and design proffesionals to exhibit in our Shows. For our part, we partner with local and regional consulting firms and proffesionals to make sure our carbon footprint is minimal and our solid waste "stream" is sustainable and flowing into the proper resevoirs. For instance,Whenever possible with purchase offsetts for our energy consumption. We give discounted ticket prices to attendees who arrive at the show with a Bus or Light rail ticket. Our food concessions make use of fresh local products and uses only compostable and recycled service products. We are always searching for more and better ways to make our events Green. |
