The Women In Green Forum will bring together renowned female professionals from the sustainability field to highlight women’s impact on the environmental arena, promote the sustainable products offered by emerging green companies and provide opportunities for women to learn about careers in sustainability.
Day One will kick-off with an overview of women’s impact on the environmental industry with speakers representing Fortune 500 companies, leading academic institutions, and successful small businesses. As a backdrop to the sessions, the Expo Hall will provide attendees with exposure to the latest in green products and services. Coffee breaks and networking activities will take place in the Expo Hall in order to encourage dialogue between attendees and the wide range of exhibitors.
The second day will feature a variety of breakout session tracks by industry segment, including: Green Building, Consumer Products, Green Schools, Eco Fashion, Clean Transportation, Alternative Energy, Organic Food, Community Initiatives, Recycling and Waste Diversion and Green Events. The sessions will feature companies and organizations making key progress in these areas. The afternoon will focus on the “Future Leaders” of the sustainability marketplace and help open the doors to women who are interested in careers in green fields. There will be roundtables where attendees can sign up to engage in small group discussions about various career tracks.

The Women in Green Forum recognizes the achievements of women across a wide range of environmental topics. Women have defined the green industry by demanding alternatives for traditional toxic products and as the key influencers for consumer purchasing trends they serve as the industry’s strongest advocate by often opting for the greener choice.
How we are trying to make this event "green":
The Women In Green Forum is being produced as a Green Meeting and the following practices are in place:
Pasadena Convention Center: * High-efficiency lighting and equipment, including LED technology; * Automated building control systems; * Aggressive convention and operational recycling program; * Drought-resistant landscaping; * A new, energy-efficient central plant supports the larger facility without adding to Southern California’s electrical grid; * Storm water run-off irrigation; * Water-conserving restrooms; and, * Incentives for employees using public transportation.
Conference Materials: * Printed on at least 50% post consumer waste recycled content paper; * Paperless online registration and speaker selection process; and, * Supplies are sourced from a green preferred supplier list.
Energy and Carbon: * Event web site is powered using Green-e certified 100% renewable energy credits from wind and solar-powered energy.
