    FARMAGEDDON (6 pm)

This is the documentary we’ve been waiting for. It’s about raw milk, farm families harmed by the overreach of government, food safety legislation, and consumer food rights. Features Sally Fallon, Joel Salatin and others. Famed maverick and farmer extraordinnaire Joel Salatin writes: “I can’t recommend this film heartily enough. Tell them Joel sent you.”

    * Discussion after film facilitated by Bob Banner, publisher of HopeDance.

    First Earth (8 pm)

    Uncompromising Ecological Architecture

This remarkable film (4 years in the making on 4 continents) is about Natural Building throughout the world... about building houses out of the earth, shot on location from the West Coast to West Africa. FIRST EARTH is not necessarily a HOW-to film; rather, it’s a WHY-to film. Discussion after the film.
“This is a beautiful film. We need to see where we are going to inspire us to act today!” - HopeDance Magazine

    * Discussion after film facilitated by Bob Banner, publisher of HopeDance.

    Video segment: http://hopedance.org/community-media/videos/785

Suggested donation of $10 for BOTH films, or $6 per film... No one will be refused for lack of funds... and non cash gifts are allowed!

    About the venue:
The East Lake Grange is an all-new exploration of the possibilities of community: a group of Lake County residents that are active in such groups as TLC, the Lake County Community Co-op and others. Back in mid-January 2011 we heard that there were two Grange halls standing empty and in danger of being sold off. We jumped on the opportunity to re-organize and re-vitalize (with the blessings of the California State Grange) - and now we have a hall. Yes, we are a fraternal membership organization, but the hall is ours as long as we use it in any way we see fit to benefit the community.
