On March 20, thousands of activists all over the US will be hitting the ground with a grassroots-approach in support of Meatout, handing out vegan food samples to expose 20,000 people to a compassionate lifestyle. Coordinators around the country will be organizing local feed-ins using samples provided by prominent companies such as Gardein, Tofurky, Tofutti, and Field Roast.

Help us expose 20,000 people to vegan food! In January 2011, Meatout set a goal of serving vegan food to over 10,000 veg-curious passerby and newcomers to veganism. In less than one month, we have already shattered that goal and received pledges to distribute vegan samples to over 16,000 people!

How many food samples can your event pass out? We have increased our goal to 20,000 people, so we need your help to bring the joys of plant based eating to even more people- check out our action center to learn more about distributing food samples or hosting a larger feed-in. Our product sponsors will set you up with free food, and we will send you outreach materials when you register your event!

    What is Meatout?

On (or around) March 20, thousands of caring people in all 50 U.S. states and two dozen other countries get active to host educational events for Meatout - the world's largest grassroots diet education campaign. Activists distribute free food, educate their communities, and ask their friends, families, and neighbors to "kick the meat habit” and explore a wholesome, compassionate diet of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
