Our Purpose: Women’s Earth Alliance (WEA) partners with community-based organizations globally to uplift local solutions to issues of water, food, land, and climate change by providing women with trainings, resources, and advocacy support.

Why women?: When they receive support, women are proven to be highly effective at ensuring the long-term health and stability of vulnerable communities throughout the world. In the U.N. Millennium Declaration, 191 governments agreed to “promote the empowerment of women as an effective way to combat poverty, hunger and disease, and to stimulate environmental sustainability.”

Why water, food, and land?: They are leverage points for transforming larger societal trends. Communities who have access to clean water, healthy food and un-degraded land are more likely to have stable economies, human rights, access to education, health, democracy and peace.
